There is definitely nothing like having a nice spa, whether you’re on a business trip and attempting to de-stress, or if you don’t have time to fully get away from your chaotic personal life and merely want a brief retreat from your stress and anxiety. Being pampered at a terrific spa tends to make all the difference between life as a stressball and experiencing a stable, joyful lifestyle. Just about everyone loves getting spoiled at some time, and what better method than in a day spa? Having said that, the last thing you want to happen when you’re looking for serious relaxation is extra stress, which means you must ensure that the day spa you finally choose really can deliver on its assurances – or you will leave the day spa feeling a whole lot worse than when you entered! In order to avoid this, we’ve collected a handy list of famous spas in DC – and just so you do not think we’re opinionated, we’ve listed a few reviews from Yelp.com to help convince you =)

Mary is a goddess.
I’m a self-proclaimed massage whore and have had more massages than I can count. I can honestly say that my massages from Mary (I’ve now had 2) are the best I’ve ever had.
She listened to what I needed from my massage, took note and made magic happen. I walked in barely able to stand up straight after a grueling few weeks at work — then walked out feeling refreshed, relaxed, and completely pain free! And the massage oil she used is so good I’m going to get some for myself to keep at home!
I’ve decided that I love myself enough to visit Mary at least once every 8 weeks from now on.

I went to SOTH the other night for a facial. I have to admit it was my first facial ever, but man it felt good.
Arnetta did an amazing job cleaning my face and the massage she gave me was awesome as well. She also took the time to clean my pretty oily skin and black heads. It was a very relaxing hour that went by way to fast.
I walked out of there super happy and relaxed (where can I hire someone to wash my face for me at night??) and my skin never looked for felt so good and healthy before.
I will definitely back for more facials as this was just a super awesome experience.

I went to Hela with a Living Social voucher for Visia analysis. As an aside, Visia is an amazing procedure that every woman should have done! But, I also wanted to comment on the spa and staff in particular. The spa is very peaceful and definitely not pretentious. The staff was polite, warm, and hospitable. My procedure was with Tiffany. I was impressed with her right away, as she was so knowledgeable about skin health. I felt completely safe and fortunate to place the care and future of my skin in her hands. This spa employs really competent experts and I can’t wait to go back again!

One of those health spas will be ideal for providing your mind, body and soul the relaxation that you need to deal with the strain of contemporary living – we have been to each of them, and we appreciated all of them (we consistently really enjoy being pampered!). The true secret is really to make sure that you find a health spa which makes you actually feel secure so you are able to truly de-stress. It might take a little effort to discover the ideal health spa for you, but believe us, it’s truly worthwhile!
Then once you’re completely calm, you really should think about visiting one of DC’s fantastic bistros or clubs (which we also have some ideas for!).
